- Design, implement, and maintain control systems
- Oversees and manages control optimization, alarm management and control performance monitoring efforts
- Implements and maintenances of new systems, networks, security practices and solutions as well as effective improvements to existing security controls as guided by Corp. OT Cybersecurity Specialist
- Troubleshoots control system issues to identify and resolve technical problems
- Collaborates with process engineers to understand operational requirements
- Develops procedures and documentation
- Designs, implements, and maintains advanced process control applications
- Improves key performance and key risk indicator metrics
- Implements and adherences to OT policies, procedures and best practices
- OT department succession planning
- Manages instrumentation care, maintenance, and testing intervals, safety instrumented system integration requirements
- Plans and implements equipment upgrades to mitigate system obsolescence
- Interfaces with internal and external auditors for risk assessments
- Maintains vendor management standards, questionnaires and documentation to adhere to regulatory compliance
- Interacts with key regional leaders (VP Refining Operations, Refinery Managers, Engineering Managers, Technical Service Managers, etc.) to provide updates and information and to understand site concerns/needs
- Participates in the annual budgeting process to ensure sites properly identify and account for expense and capital needs
