Northrop Grumman is seeking a Data Analytics/Operations Management Intern to join the Space Systems Intern Program. This position will be located in Dulles, VA.
The ideal candidate would be someone interested in data analytics, user experience, SharePoint development, operations, systems engineering or related field. In this role, they will work with senior leaders in the organization to drive innovation and digital transformation into our operational practices. They will gain experience in using Agile project management techniques, and will leverage Lean Six Sigma practices to help stream line and automate processes. Experience working with databases or SharePoint administration is a plus. 2024 initiatives the candidate could participate in include, but not limited to:
- Creating or refining performance dashboards to address leadership priorities
- Process Mapping Division processes for migration into an interactive SharePoint Framework
- Lean-Six Sigma projects
- Automation of data ingest and reporting
We are an Agile organization so specific projects are identified and executed via Sprints and Project Increments in line with real time strategic objectives.
This unique role on our specialized team gives our intern insight into portfolio management early in their career and the opportunity to work different teams and start mapping their career path through Northrop Grumman’s many opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2024
- Be majoring in a related STEM degree.
- Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2024
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- Ability to perform structural engineering tasks associated with analysis, design, and/or testing of structures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 or higher
Intern Pay Range in Dulles, VA:
Bachelor’s: $24.75 to $30.50 per hour
Master’s: $36.25 to $38.25 per hour
At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.
