Shop Foreman
Dynamic, well-established Water Treatment System Manufacturer has an immediate opportunity for a Shop Foreman. In this role, you will supervise all shop personnel, and ensure the efficiency of operations. You will also be required to manage inventory and enforce safe work practices.
To ensure success as a shop foreman, you should be highly organized and have excellent communications skills with a boots on the ground attitude. Some travel to oversee the installation of equipment is required.
A leader who is a jack of all trades would be a perfect fit.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supervise and train staff leading by example and participating in the work.
· Schedule new fabrication and repair work and assign technicians to jobs that match their skill levels to ensure quality and efficiency.
· Lead, motivate and assist technicians in following established standard operating procedures and product quality.
· Monitor workflow to ensure the next job is ready to start as technicians’ complete current jobs.
· Maintain high quality repairs to minimize comebacks.
· Perform inspection of all work after job completion prior to customer delivery ensuring Customer Satisfaction.
· Assist company leadership with the recruitment, interviewing and selection of new hire technicians.
· Enforcing safety regulations and protocols.
· Implementing strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.
· Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintained.
· Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
· Performing administrative tasks such as updating equipment orders, stock receipts and staff schedules.
· Contributes to team effort by holding themselves accountable to achieve desired results.
· Maintain a good working relationship with all company employees.
· Occasionally, travel to destinations for equipment.
Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of experience in leading fabricators and technicians. Water Treatment experience is highly desired.
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Experience in plumbing, metal work, welding, and electrical is required.
- Proven excellence in customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a team environment.
- Proven experience meeting and exceeding service and productivity requirements.
· Experience with shop management software
- Trade School with a certification a plus.
- ASE Certifications Preferred.
· Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory record.
· Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
