Production Machine Shop Supervisor one for (1st Shift)
PURPOSE: As a Production Machine Shop Supervisor you would be expected to oversee the companies production operations. You will guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows.
In a fast-paced environment like production, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. You should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Maintains specifications by observing troubleshooting processes; adjusting, sharpening, and replacing worn tools and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Counsel employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Work with production manager to develop machine schedules, adhere to setup times, and tooling orders
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful in this position.
- 3 years of experiance in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experiance as a production supervisor or a similar role (Lead Machinist)
- Some experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing machinery
- Organizantion and leadership abilities
- Communcation and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work overtime hours
- Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing work environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
