Candidates selected for this position will serve as a Golf Course Pro Shop Lead.

Major Duties Responsible for the efficient operation of the golf PRO SHOP. Interacts with customers, offering information about products, ensures pricing accuracy, and maintains the store area in a clean and organized manner. Completes sale and return transactions using the point of sale system.

Responsible for the golf PRO SHOP retail merchandise orders and associated paperwork. Maintains sufficient stock to meet daily commercial sale requirements. Replenishes merchandise as needed.

Interacts with buyers on customer special requests/orders and merchandise stock levels. Informs supervisor of damaged merchandise, out-of-stock and/or slow moving merchandise. Identifies and reduces risks of loss and/or theft of merchandise.

Assists the GOLF COURSE manager in the operational requirements of the GOLF COURSE such as; reserving tee times, maintaining the pace of play, driving range operations, scheduling tournaments and reserving GOLF COURSE areas for retirement ceremonies. Responsible for maintaining the daily golf play record and other GOLF COURSE data as directed. Oversees outside service duties, such as setting and maintaining the cart staging area, driving range, putting green, and short game area.

Has key holder responsibility: opening and closing of GOLF COURSE PRO SHOP and for receiving products. Performs opening and closing procedures on RecTrac, verifies daily cash receipts, change funds, compiles and fills out daily data entry and accounting forms, invoices, and other paperwork associated with running the facility. Assists in retail inventory, inventory audits, and recounts of merchandise.

Assists in determining basis for over/short or misplaced items. Ensures proper accountability and security of assigned area(s). Responsible for general housekeeping duties such as cleaning or dusting fixtures and merchandising area to maximize sales.

Takes advantage of training opportunities to develop selling skills in product categories. Develops the teams product knowledge to maximize customer satisfaction. Remains committed to learning about the brands and products sold within the store.

Supervises employees to include assigning and distributing work, scheduling, coaching, counseling, tutoring, training, and mentoring employees. Assist the Golf Course Manager in approving and disapproving leave; recommending and completing personnel actions; completing performance reviews and approving timesheet records. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.

Assists customers with technical expertise on equipment and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Proactively identifies opportunities to resolve customer problems and concerns. Follows up with customers to ensure their problems are resolved.

Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when unable to resolve customer problem or concern. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications * One year experience overseeing operation of a small retail establishment.

* Must be able to perform business mathematics. * Must have knowledge of retail merchandising methods. * Skill to operate cash register and handle large sums of money accurately.

* Skill to process daily activity paperwork. * Thorough knowledge of golf industry required. * PGA Class A or Apprentice preferred.

This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. If the spouse is not listed on the PCS orders, the spouse must provide documentation (i.e. marriage certificate, valid military ID, etc.) verifying marriage prior to PCS orders (must have been married to the military sponsor before relocation to the new duty station).
