Position Summary:
Sierra Vista Child & Family Services (SVCFS) provides a broad range of services to assist children, youth and families by empowering and supporting them in becoming stronger and healthier individuals, families and communities. The Sierra Drop-In Family Resource Center mission is to provide and coordinate services through creative partnerships that enhance health, education and well being for all in Stanislaus County Case Managers act under the supervision of the Program Coordinator and are members of integrated, multi-disciplinary service teams.
Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of community resources.
2. Cultural sensitivity awareness and knowledge.

4. Clean and neat appearance and pleasant demeanor
5. Must be 21 years old or over.
6. A valid California driver’s license with less than two minor moving violations is required of staff who have driving duties to meet the requirements of their position and be approved by the agency’s insurance company.
7. Must complete the required training hours of Parent Partnership training.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide advocacy and support in schools, preschools, community (neighborhoods), homes and agency as needed.
2. Participate in required training throughout the year.
3. Attend designated meetings unless excused by the Program Supervisor.
4. Provide outreach services to parents to include identifying areas that need to be strengthened, setting goals, and helping to achieve targeted goals with the families.
5. Assist families in providing resources and support to families as needed.
6. Observe confidentiality of information related to other families.
7. Interact productively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide services to an identified group of families.
8. Maintain record keeping and tracking systems of assigned families.
9. Respond appropriately to familial situations.
10. Relate directly with community organizations.
11. Work productively as a team member.
12. Provides a variety of individual services such as job development, training, testing and counseling services, utilizing a case management model to enable individuals who are economically disadvantaged, dislocated, or have multiple employment barriers to find appropriate work.
13. Provides comprehensive evaluation of employment and training needs. Assesses customer skills by interviewing, testing and other methods.
14. Works with customers to develop individual training plans, engage employer placement contacts. Assists clients with job placement, including job-search classes, and employment contacts.
15. Assesses customer need, authorizes, and facilitates supportive services to assist in removing barriers that may prevent successful completion of the program.
16. Monitors and records participant data into multiple management information systems.
17. May facilitate group processes including testing, workshops, orientations and job clubs.
