Wilder Collison Center needs a Body Shop Estimator. Whether you have 10+ years of experience or only 3 years, we will make sure that you are set up for success.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for highly motivated, energetic, and dedicated individuals to fill our Body Shop Estimator position. This role is a fast-paced and challenging position that relies on the ability to maintain efficiency and accuracy while assisting our customers with dedication. Those who can meet these challenges have nearly unlimited earning potential. You will interact directly with the service manager to address and resolve automotive needs by taking ownership of the customer experience.
Body Shop Estimator - Summary
Appraises vehicle damage to determine the cost of repair for insurance claim settlement.
Body Shop Estimator - Essential Duties

• Examines damaged vehicle to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
• Estimates the cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
• Reviews repair cost estimates with the Body Shop manager or foreman.
• In the event of a disagreement with the manager or foreman on the repair cost, arranges to have the damage appraised by another appraiser to resolve the situation.
• Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
• Evaluate the practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before the accident.
• Determines salvage value on total vehicle loss.
• Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
• Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purpose,s or customizing undamaged vehicles.
• Other tasks as assigned.
