Job Description
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including inventory management, receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Champion a strong safety culture, maintain a clean and organized warehouse, and ensure all equipment is kept in good working condition.
- Upkeep of a passionate attitude and fostering a positive environment for fellow coworkers/employees to work within.
- Meet or exceed all operational metrics and KPIs, including order accuracy, productivity, and safety.
- Facilitate continuous process improvement initiatives and lead lean initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency Ensure timely deliveries to internal and external customers.
- Use a centralized inventory management system to track inventory levels and movements across different locations.
- Conduct inventory counts regularly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies or theft.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Manage the budget and resources for the warehouse department, including personnel, equipment, and supplies.
- Hire, train, mentor, and manage warehouse personnel, ensuring high performance and employee engagement.
- Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to optimize production schedules while anticipating and planning for potential issues, such as supply chain disruptions or staffing shortages.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous work experience working in a warehouse environment or general inventory and shipping knowledge is preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift is a plus, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage employees.
- Experience with inventory management and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
