JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the supervision of all plant warehouse employees covering all shifts. Responsible for the receipt and storage of stock material and finished goods. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the receiving and storing of stock and bulk material and the filling and palletizing of orders for shipment. Supervising the accuracy of orders shipped. Assure that all equipment is maintained in good working order.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works a schedule that overlaps all shifts. Works with team leads to coordinate efficient operations.
- Schedules, directs, trains and motivates hourly personnel in a manner that enhances efficient operations. This includes performance review and recommends disciplinary action, hiring and termination.
- Supervises the storage of finished goods received according to established layouts for location purposes and to keep aisles and emergency exits opened.
- Supervise the filling and palletizing of orders for shipment.
- Supervises the sanitation needs in warehouse.
- Supervises the returned goods and insures the rebox and return to use any returned goods.
- Supervise the accuracy of orders shipped as to correct case amounts and packet sizes, check orders on a random basis.
- Check and assure that all equipment is maintained in a good safe working condition.
- Maintains a clean and orderly storage area.
- Communicates with Materials Manager and Scheduler.
- Regular attendance on the job, dependability and reliability are required.
- Works within established guidelines for safety and company policies and procedures.
- Maintains open and effective communications with line personnel.
- Supervise and ensure the accuracy of cycle counts.
- Knowledgeable of the principle and other duties of all departmental line personnel.
- Support and participate in the behavior safety program.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Order supplies for warehouse, FedEx.
- Works with confidential information and data, uses good judgment in dispensing it.
- Be knowledgeable of employment hiring policies and procedures following prescribed legal guidelines.
- Maintain the repair of all equipment in warehouse.
- Write any requisitions and get approved P.O. for repair and purchases required.
- Ensures that all plant safety and OSHA guidelines are adhered to.
- Interacts with facilities' managers and support staff.
- Investigates and gives written report on any accidents, determines cause, and safeguards against future similar incidents.
- Conducts safety training sessions for all departmental employees on a timely basis and other training as needed.
- Schedules and directs personnel on restricted duty assignments according to restrictions.
- Assist in preparation of physical inventories
- Review rejected and returned items with Materials Manager
- Ensure that all carriers have been notified of items ready for pickup
- Verifies shift personnel timecards
- Work with fellow associates in a cooperative and cordial manner.

- Computer knowledge of Excel, Word, BPCS, QAD
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to perform heavy physical work, exerting up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly, performing such activities as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, feeling, lifting, and grasping.
- Ability to operate forklift and other powered equipment for material handling.
- Works in normal manufacturing environment. Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards and dangerous chemicals/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
- Works in temperature extremes, dampness.
- Proper personal protective equipment required.
