WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST & FREIGHT COORDINATOR (KENT, WA)

Canycom is a manufacturer of equipment for construction, trail building, agriculture and landscaping.
Canycom USA seeks a Warehouse Specialist and Freight Coordinator to join their team at their North American distribution headquarters in Kent. Must be able to communicate well, work effectively with the team and multi-task with a positive attitude.
PURPOSE
Be an essential part of the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations at the Canycom warehouse. This position will revolve around booking freight as well as shipping, receiving, and maintaining warehouse inventory. Duties include order fulfillment, packaging items for shipment, and arranging delivery pickups.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Booking freight (truckload, less than truckload) for machines and parts.
- Arrange freight paperwork.
- Properly package and load merchandise for secure and safe shipping.
- Load freight to and from dock and trailers according to specifications of Bills of Lading, delivery receipts, and labels.
- Ensure proper documentation required in the shipping process is created then signed, dated and promptly forwarded via email to the team once merchandise is shipped.
- Receive, document, and process merchandise for stock and returns and notify team in a timely manner.
- Identify any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the team.
- Maintain warehouse in proper and clean order.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Be willing to participate in forklift, safety, and other training updates as required.
- Be willing to help with other duties that may be required in day-to-day operations of the warehouse and office.
- Motivated to become familiar with technical parts breakdowns, machine specs, and operator manuals.
- A self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in a professional manner.
- Native or near native English writing and speaking proficiency.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
- Forklift certification
- Drivers license
- U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
- Mid-career (2-5+ years of experience)
- Knowledge of bill of ladings and other shipping document
- Shipping/Receiving experience (manufacturing/warehouse)
- Working knowledge of Office Suite and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving and strong communication skills
- Comfortable in a cross-cultural and bilingual workplace
Salary is $28/hour
