Job Purpose: The Barrel Warehouse Specialist is responsible for working with and managing all spirit barrels for maturation as well as implementing the creation of new products across all locations to ensure the standards of HDC are met at all times. Our production is diverse and growing and requires a strong support staff and understanding of the daily operations within and outside of the distillery. An ideal Barrel Warehouse Specialist is flexible and knowledgeable regarding the many different aspects of production as well as of our company.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Distillery or beverage experience with product creation and/or blending, preferred.
Experience operating Inventory Database Management System, preferred.
Current state alcohol pouring card and food handling card. If not currently in possession of one, able to obtain one within 14 days of hire.
Ability to be on feet all day and lift at least 80 lbs.
Experience driving forklifts and electric/manual pallet jacks, preferred.
Ability to represent HDC in a professional manner, both in writing and in person.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for filling, dumping, blending, and management of spirit barrels for production needs and our Cask Club program.
Pull samples from barrels upon request of Management, customers, or other HDC staff.
Gain general knowledge of all recipes and flavor profiles for each spirit.
Ability to set up, change, clean, and run all production equipment.
Keep accurate inventory of all barreled product and blending supplies in the distribution warehouse within the inventory database management system following the inventory SOP.
Ensure safety and compliance is being followed daily and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Prepare items to go out for internal and freight shipment with proper shipping and hazmat labels as well as helps receive incoming goods.
Support innovation of new products with creating recipes, blends, distillations, or bench top samples for review.
Perform physical counts of spirit and material inventory and support cycle counts and inventory following the inventory SOP.
Dutifully complete all other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
The Barrel Warehouse Specialist position is located in a working warehouse and rickhouse. Conditions can range from warm in the summer to cooler in the winter. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch; bend and twist.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
