We are seeking an Injection Molding Process Specialist to join our growing team on 1st shift at Blum USA. Job Responsibilities
As an Injection Molding Process Specialist, you will be expected to install, setup, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot Engel Injection Molding Machinery and auxiliary equipment.
Additional responsibilities for this position include:
- Providing support for the transfer/installation of new molds, resins and machinery
- Expected to support the development of new and existing operators, apprentices and technical specialists
- Provide verbal updates, status of work, technical problems and their solutions to colleagues during shift change meetings
- Participates in special projects (including training, transfer/installation of new molds, resins and auxiliary equipment as well as establishment of process parameters)
- Responsible for providing absentee coverage for existing Operators as directed
- Works 1st shift schedule (7am – 3pm M-F)
- Flexibility to work overtime including weekends and covering for specialists on alternative shifts
Job Requirements
To be successful in this type of position, we need team players who bring a positive attitude to the work place and enjoy being around and working with others. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with Engel Injection Molding machines in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Additional requirements for this position include:
- Knowledge of plastics technology including screws & barrels, molding material delivery systems, temperature control units, grinders, dryers, separators and their applications
- Knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatic systems, power transmissions, PLC’s and basic electrical theory
- Basic knowledge of mold design as well as associated drawings and specifications that define and describe various types of molds
- Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, costs, safety and techniques for maximizing the manufacture of goods & services
- Ability to coordinate activities and manage one’s time to achieve goals
- Can establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Can use computers, programs and their applications as needed
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
- Completion of a DOL approved apprenticeship program emphasizing plastics manufacturing technology is preferred
