POSITION SUMMARY
This position entails a wide range of responsibilities from forklift operation to driving road-certified vehicles and engaging in manual labor activities, including lifting heavy items. The Specialist will ensure efficient operation of the warehouse through safe machinery operation, inventory management, and by providing support across various logistics tasks. Adaptability, manual dexterity, and a commitment to safety and team collaboration are essential for success in this position.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Drive road-certified vehicles, including box trucks and sprinter vans, as required.
- Lift and move items weighing up to 80 lbs regularly.
- Utilize basic computer skills for inventory tracking and processing.
- Exhibit proficiency in using power tools for warehouse tasks.
- Quickly adapt to and switch between various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate manual dexterity in handling warehouse materials and tools.
- Assist in building custom pallets or crates for oversized items using woodworking skills.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by handling trash and other disposal tasks.
- Participate in training sessions to cover roles of absent colleagues and improve skill sets.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Engage in routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment.
- Assist in inventory control and ensure the accuracy of shipments and receipts.
- Provide excellent internal customer service, understanding the operational needs of the warehouse.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational level.
- Basic competency in computer operations.
- Skilled in the use of power tools.
- Proven experience in warehouse environments, or related manual labor-intensive fields.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and perform advanced forklifting tasks.
- Valid driver's license with experience in driving large vehicles.
- Capability to lift heavy objects, up to 80 lbs.
- Physical ability to engage in tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical stamina.
- $21-25/hr (depending on experience)

- The role demands constant physical activity including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Frequently lift/move weights over 50 lbs and occasionally lift/move weights up to 80 lbs.
