The Director of Investor and Shareholder Relations serves as an MCA liaison for the Chief Stakeholder Engagement Officer's organization in Mitsubishi Corporation (MC). This role is expected to spend approximately 70% of their time performing services for MC under the Service Agreement between MC and MCA, and the rest of their time performing services for MCA.
- This role is responsible for developing and executing MC's strategies to communicate effectively with investors, shareholders, sell-side analysts, and the financial community in North America, and may be involved in developing and executing such strategies in other regions.
- This role may also include involvement in developing and executing strategies related to sustainability and to public relations, as requested by MC or MCA.
- This role plays a critical part in engaging with stakeholders, managing MC's reputation, and promoting MC's growth strategies and financial goals.
Key Accountabilities:
60% Communications and Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, shareholders, and analysts in North America.
Develop and maintain a strong and transparent communications strategy to keep stakeholders informed about the company's business, financial performance, and strategic initiatives.
Prepare and distribute periodic disclosure materials, presentations for investors, shareholders, and other materials for earnings calls and investor meetings, in collaboration with MC.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors and analysts.
Organize and participate in meetings, conferences, and roadshows to engage with the financial community.
Address investor inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
40% Strategic Planning
Develop and execute Investor and Shareholder Relations strategies in alignment with MC's overall goals and objectives.
Provide insights to MC based on dialogue with investors and Shareholders in North America, in order to reflect a North American perspective in MC's strategies.
Lead the development of presentation materials, stakeholder-related messaging and scripts in English.
Coordinate with business groups located in North America, as necessary, to give feedback from investors and Shareholders, and to understand their business situations and strategies.
Job Qualifications
Key Qualifications:
Strong understanding of financial markets, securities regulations, and Investor and Shareholder Relations best practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
The ability to think strategically and to align Investor and Shareholder Relations efforts with overall corporate goals.
Familiarity with financial software and tools, such as Investor and Shareholder Relations software and financial modeling software.
Years of Experience:
At least 10 years of experience in Investor and Shareholder Relations, finance, or related roles, with a track record of success.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field; MBA or CFA is preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: N/A
Languages: English fluency is required. Japanese familiarity is preferred.

Collaborates effectively with colleagues and contributes to decisions as needed. Has authority to plan, execute, and monitor the progress of projects within defined guidelines.
