The Warehouse Logistics Coordinator will have sole responsibility for Dedicated Accounts and reporting to the Warehouse Manager. Responsibilities include picking, packing, forklift operation, TMS entry, order tendering, inventory control and billing. The incumbent assembles orders, analyzes shipment options to develop a logistics plan that will ensure quality, efficiencies, and on-time delivery. You will be the main operator for a dedicated customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble orders of various SKU’s per customer pick slips in an efficient secure manner
- Serve as primary account coordinator for all contracted transportation needs for assigned clients.
- Communicate with customer on a daily basis (phone/email) in support of client orders, warehouse and transportation needs.
- Effectively communicate problems / delays to appropriate parties and pro-actively identify issues.
- Maintain accurate client order information in TMS/CRM software.
- Review and select appropriate carrier routing options for all assigned loads.
- Tender loads to assigned carriers with the maximum lead-time possible.
- Monitor daily pickup and delivery statuses and ensure carrier update compliance.
- Resolve client requests for assistance that fall within the scope of the company’s contract with the client.
- Investigate and resolve freight invoice billing exceptions.
- Perform special projects or analysis as requested management.
- Provide support to the customer service team on an as needed basis or during peak work periods.
- Provide backup to other warehouse personnel when needed and required.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and efficient service for customers according to schedules and On Demand requests.
- Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, complaints, and requests for service.
- Keep customers notified of changes with inventory, schedules and or on demand delays.
Requirements:
- Preference for an Associate's degree, though relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and multitasking capabilities
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Internet.
- Able to work independently and within a team environment.
- 3+ years operating a forklift.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in hot or cold temperatures.
- Make optimum decisions under pressure and time constraints.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
