This position is located in Jacksonville. The intern must have capability to travel minimally to VyStar's branch locations. (9-week internship program beginning the first week of June and ending the first week of August.)
What You'll Do:
Interns assigned to Marketing will have the opportunity to work with a specific team within the function. During the internship there will be opportunities for cross-functional engagement in other disciplines. This role is focused on:
Public Relations: As a Public Relations intern, they will be exposed to various aspects of Public Relations, including media relations, event planning, writing, and editing press releases, and developing talking points for speaking events, podcast, and video production. The intern will also learn how to gather information to use in a competitive award submission process and will engage in research, measurement, and analysis of PR campaigns.
In addition, they will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in various aspects of video production and podcast creation. They will work alongside our experienced videography team to help plan, shoot, and edit different types of videos, including promotional, instructional, and informational content.
They will also have the chance to build their personal portfolio by contributing to various PR campaigns and initiatives. By the end of their internship experience, they will have developed solid knowledge and skills in the field of Public Relations and have acquired practical experience that will give them a competitive edge in future job searches.

Education & Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree at an accredited college/university
• Seeking a degree in Marketing and/or Communications is preferred
• Rising college Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate Students
• Strong written and communication skills
• Flexibility to work with multi-disciplined teams
• Strong use of Microsoft Office tools
• GPA of 3.0 preferred
• Participation in college organizations and the community
