Position Summary:
Triumph's Equipment Finance Division (TEF) is a business unit with the primary responsibility for the financing of transportation, construction and environmental equipment. TEF seeks a qualified Senior Risk Analyst whose responsibilities include: (i) underwriting credit approval requests for both prospective and existing clients; (ii) performing ongoing monitoring on existing credits to assist in assessing the quality of the loan portfolio.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the due diligence process for all prospective and existing client loan requests typically exceeding $3MM in exposure.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of, spread and analyze borrower financial statements and/or tax returns.
- Prepare written Credit Approval Memo, complete with financial analysis and detailed ratio discussions including cash flow coverage and other pertinent ratios.
- Approve credits within authorities and recommend credit approvals above terms.
- Attend and present and/or comment on transactions in Management Loan Committee and Executive Loan Committee.
- Mentor and train new employees and less seasoned analysts on processes, financial analysis and industry knowledge.
- Monitor existing client relationships for material changes.
- Ensure that all transactions conform to the Loan Policy and approval requirements.
- Collaborate and communicate directly with the borrowers, financial professionals, TEF marketing team and the internal staff.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree is required, or 10+ years of direct experience coupled with college.
- 10+ years' experience in credit underwriting and financial statement analysis.
- Experience in an equipment lending industry is preferred.
Skills & Abilities Required:
- Problem solving and decision-making skills are essential.
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements and tax return documents.
- Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for handling frequent interruptions, balancing several on-going tasks, and working in a fast paced environment.
- Strong organization, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills are required.
