Job Overview & Essential Functions
Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Leasing Accounting Supervisor to assist in the day-to-day accounting and office services performed at the Leasing Corporate office to ensure accuracy and completeness. Performs accounting duties and compiles financial reports.
* Familiar with all accounting policies, internal controls, procedures, and standards of the company and ensures they are applied and followed.
* Directs duties of corporate office personnel in order to carry out procedures and provide required information for financial statements and assigned reports.
* Recruits, trains, and provides development, supervision, direction and support for corporate office personnel in the performance of their duties.
* Monitors performance and provides formal performance reviews for assigned office personnel.
* Performs account analysis and other accounting and reporting duties.
* Produces various weekly and monthly analytical reports as requested.
* Assists with review and control activities per standards.
* Provides support to branches in regards to daily operating procedures.
* Familiar with the operations and documented quality system of MHC Truck Leasing and makes recommendations for process improvements.
* Oversees the revenue equipment fixed asset process including truck inventory management.
* Reviews and approves accounting entries.
* Directly supervises the insurance compliance team.
* Assists in the revenue equipment unit status change workflow.
* Tracks, analyzes, and reports on accounts receivable aging and bad debt exposure.
* Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
* College degree in business/accounting or comparable work experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
* Excellent customer service skills with an ability to communicate with customers, vendors, and employees from multiple branches.
* Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Must have a positive, can-do attitude and willing to work in a collaborative team environment.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
