Primary Purpose
The Risk Management Department provides a risk management capability to support the identification and mitigation of risks within the enterprise. This position will provide a flexible, business-focused service to help assess risk, work with stakeholders throughout the Sempra Infrastructure enterprise on risk mitigation efforts, and provide support for risk management input as it relates to regulatory proceedings, and other risk management focused activities.

This position will provide a flexible, business-focused service to help assess risk, work with stakeholders throughout the Sempra Infrastructure enterprise on risk mitigation efforts, and provide support for risk management input as it relates to regulatory proceedings, and other risk management focused activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete risk assessments, including modeling and analysis as necessary. Assess and advise on risk-related concepts related to Sempra Infrastructure's Enterprise Risks.
- Advise upon, and contribute to, ongoing Enterprise Risk register development for risk identification and risk measurement, carrying out reviews with business risk owners and their delegates on a regular basis.
- Provide analyses and recommendations to support risk owners and business groups on risk related initiatives, such as project risk assessments, the capital value process, and credit and insurance related risk concepts
- Participate in Integrated Risk Management working group and Risk Advocate meetings, record key action items, develop action plans to address outstanding items, and help follow-up to ensure completion.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and briefings for risk owners and senior leadership to advise on company risk efforts, initiatives, and programs.
- Communicate the results of risk analyses clearly to members of Sempra Infrastructure's Risk Governance Committee in a way which adds significant value to business decisions.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Finance, related field or equivalent training and/or experience.
- 5 years' experience in risk management or related field.
Skills and Abilities
- Foundational understanding of risks facing the energy industry.
- Ability to communicate concepts across organizational functions and levels.
- Ability to review complex documents such as construction related contracts or industry reports and determine key actions or best practices.
- Team working and influencing skills.
- Ability to analyze data to extract key concepts and/or needed actions.
- High attention to detail in analysis and written work.
- Project management skills, able to support projects from idea development to actualization.
- Strong analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the energy industry.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
