As a Risk Analyst in the Middle Office, specializing in Refined Products, you will be an integral part of the team overseeing the Colonial pipeline business and a robust cargo business. Utilizing our primary risk valuation and reporting system, your responsibilities will span daily reporting, curve validation, managing forward curve uploads, ad hoc reporting and analysis, and monitoring trade and risk limits. The role demands a keen eye for detail, autonomy in decision-making, and proficiency in leveraging Excel for analytical purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and analyze daily reports on position, profit and loss (PNL), and PNL explanations to provide insights into the Refined Products portfolio.
- Conduct rigorous validation of forward curves to ensure accuracy and reliability in risk valuation.
- Oversee the process of uploading and managing forward curves, ensuring timely and accurate data integration.
- Respond to ad hoc reporting requests by providing insightful analysis and reports to support decision-making within the Refined Products team.
- Maintain a vigilant watch on trade and risk limits, promptly identifying and escalating any breaches or potential issues.
Qualifications:
- Strong Excel Skills: Proficient in Excel to perform complex data analysis and reporting functions.
- Autonomous Worker: Ability to work independently and make informed decisions to ensure efficient risk management.
- Attention to Detail: Thorough and meticulous approach to tasks, ensuring accuracy and reliability in reporting.
- Prior Experience in Risk: Previous experience in a risk-related role, preferably within the Refined Products sector.
- Prior experience with Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems.
