Position Summary
Participate Learning’s teacher program recruits, selects and supports over 1200 international teachers working in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, and beyond. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about supporting the administrative needs of the Visa & Legal department serving the international teacher program at Participate Learning. You will report to the Visa Manager. In your day-to-day activities you are prompt and skillful at answering inquiries, precise at data entry, file management, and supportive in visa processing.You will work closely with program participants as well as internal clients, supporting administrative activities related to J-1 visa processing. You are skillful and reliable at collecting, tracking, organizing, and analyzing data, and producing reports as needed. Most of all, you are excited about being part of and supporting an incredibly dynamic group of professionals who are committed to broadening the cultural experiences of students in our region to build the next generation of global leaders.
QualificationsKey Competencies
2+ years of post-secondary education and/or experience in a professional setting.
Meets requirements for U.S. Department of State ARO (Alternate Responsible Officer): U.S. citizen or permanent resident and background check.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Positive attitude and be able to work effectively in a team.
Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and follow direction.
Skill to problem solve independently, using knowledge of Participate Learning’s policies and guidelines as well as own work experience and judgment and to identify appropriate resources.
Spanish and/or Mandarin language skills are nice to have, but not required.
Use of office equipment including, but not limited to, photocopiers, scanners, printers, fax, etc.
Proficient use of MS Office, Google Suites and other platforms.
Attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to learn/effectively use applications or software (i.e. Salesforce, Sunapsis).
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information and difficult interactions in a professional and courteous manner.
