Overview Abundant Life is seeking a creative mind with a heart for both telling great stories, and the artistic and technical ability to take a video project from concept to completion. This person will have the opportunity to develop and craft videos that mobilize and inspire our congregation. Abundant Life strives to reach people for God by providing meaningful content on a personal level each week, with the goal of advancing both our mission of seeing lives changes through Jesus, and our vision of being proof of a loving God to a watching world.
Personal Responsibilities
- Commit to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18; 1 Peter 2:2) by assembling together for instruction in God’s Word and engaging in the personal study of God’s Word.
- Responsibly use the resources at your disposal to foster the mission and vision of Abundant Life (1 Peter 5:1-4).
- Participate in an Abundant Life group (Acts 2:41-42) as well as the discipleship ministry (Matthew 28:18-20).
- Live in a way that glorifies God and aligns with the staff core values (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9).
- Be committed to giving to the needs of the saints (2 Corinthians 8:1-7 & 9:12).
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Review and edit the Sunday service before posting to Vimeo and YouTube.
- Oversee our weekly announcement video, including writing scripts, scheduling talent, filming, and post-production.
- Film key ministry events throughout the year to create engaging highlight reels and promos.
- Support the Communications Department on a variety of projects.
- Contribute to our weekly Comms Team meetings by offering insight and expertise.
- Attend regular staff meetings as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere, After Effects (or FCPX/Motion) and Photoshop with knowledge of color grading.
- Audio capture and mixing ability are preferred.
- Ability to quickly set up & tear down lighting, cameras, and audio, framing, and camera work is key to telling a compelling
story, as is having an eye for shooting video.
- Requires a collaborative personality that embraces new ideas and welcomes critical feedback.
- Must have an outgoing personality with the ability to direct on-camera talent.
- Energy, self-motivation, organization, time-management, problem solving, and a tenacious attitude to get the job done with excellence are traits that are necessary to excel in this position.
- Requires a commitment to sharpening professional skills by actively seeking the latest industry trends and advancements.

Experience (minimum requirement)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Professional video editing and production experience
- A portfolio of professional work
- Event photography experience with the ability to edit photos in Adobe Lightroom (preferred)
