The Vice President of Quality will serve as the single owner/single point of accountability for Aledade’s Medicare Advantage Stars goals, including maintaining and executing on the strategic roadmap and providing vision and subject matter expertise for scalable, tech enabled workflow/product development and curriculum support for Medicare Advantage Stars goals. This outcome oriented role will collaborate closely with the VP of Risk Stratification to integrate the Stars and Risk Adjustment approach to managing the health of the risk pool, provider engagement, payment and risk sharing models, collaborative care models, data/analytics support, member engagement health improvement and management programs and collaboration with vendor partners to achieve identified goals. In addition, the Vice President at Aledade will be an integral part of the Strategy and Priority Leadership Team tasked with informing the company’s overall strategic direction.
Responsibilities:
- Drives cross-divisional development and execution of a multi-year strategy around overall Stars performance, and revenue optimization across all lines of business, i.e., Medicare and Individual Market.
- Builds relationships with and leads cross functional teams to drive Star Ratings initiatives and best practices by promoting innovation, strategy development, and implementation excellence.
- Chairs and facilitates steering committee meetings related to Stars, effectively communicating performance progress, new initiatives needed for higher performance, organizational barriers, and expectations of results.
- Develop and oversee clinical strategies and operations for continuous improvement on key clinical, quality, and pharmacy measures. Serve as the single point of accountability for quality reporting, hypertension, and pharmacy teams.
- Develops and implements practice centric strategies to engage, educate, and motivate providers to positively impact Star Ratings.
- Understands overall organizational processes, operations and challenges that may impact star ratings and provides leadership with visibility on the potential impacts (positive or negative) along with the mitigation efforts.
- Driving positive culture transformation and corporate wide awareness of Stars through education, communication, and employee engagement.
- This role requires 10-25% of travel.
Qualification Requirements:
- MD/DO degree required from accredited medical school.
- Ideal candidates will have a combination of senior-level experience and expertise in health care strategy, business development, management consulting, health care finance, and operations.
- 7+ years of experience in population health management
- Strong foundation in value-based care principles and proven leadership
- Must have experience with collaborating and partnering with external stakeholders at an executive-level
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead high performing and collaborative teams.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to think strategically and implement tactically to consistently deliver results; well-developed skills in diplomacy and collaboration.
- Strong vision and belief in tech-enablement of the company’s products to enable consistent results at scale and reduced operating costs.
- Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to inform action plans and strategy.
- Expertise with existing and new Federal State legislation impacting Medicare and Stars
