Position Overview: As the Vice President of Event Management and Production, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our company's event strategy. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of Event Management, production, and logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of planning, executing, and evaluating a wide range of events (including internal events), ensuring they align with our brand and company objectives.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in event experiences.
Contract Negotiations/Room Block Management: Must have negotiated multi-year, multi-million dollar convention and trade show contracts and possess understanding of room block management
Team Leadership:
Lead and inspire a high-performing team of event managers, producers, and coordinators.
Foster a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
Event Execution:
Oversee the planning and execution of all events, from concept development to post-event evaluation.
Ensure seamless coordination of logistics, production, and technical elements for flawless event delivery.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage multiple event budgets, ensuring financial goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the overall event experience.
Vendor and Partner Relations:
Negotiate and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure the best value and quality.
Source new partnerships that enhance event offerings and capabilities.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements for all events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field
- CMP Certification
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role in Event Management and Production.
- Strong understanding of industry trends, technology, and best practices.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
- Proficient in CVENT Systems
- Must be willing to travel 25-30%
Hire Range/Rate:
$140,000 - $180,000
Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
