Position Overview:
The AVP/VP candidate will join a strong team providing analytical advisory services related to mortgage servicing rights. A successful candidate will be fluent with discounted cash flow modeling for complex assets and be responsible for directly engaging with and managing clients.
This position will also be responsible for conducting MSR or Whole Loan valuations, maintaining internal procedures, and providing support to colleagues and management. In addition, this individual will oversee the hiring and development of Analytics talent, including performance management and team training opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Run valuations and manage relationships for the highest profile and most complex clients.
- Manage client valuation calls and act as senior point of contact for all clients.
- Support sales staff with client calls and on-site visits as appropriate for potential and existing Analytics clients. Identify areas of opportunity with existing Analytics clients.
- Manage all project management, modeling, and prepayment software within the department, including model updates, back testing and validation, and team training. Show deep technical understanding of software and services.
- Champion, test, and implement new technology, challenger models, and deliverables.
- Monitor current market trends and maintain modeling and assumptions in line with current issues and developments.
- Build industry exposure via conferences and client visits.
- Responsible for hiring, development and mentoring of Analytics team.
- Manage team performance objectives and oversee review process and staff compensation.
- Contribute to various departmental projects, including tracking and analyzing industry benchmarks, model validation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee Analytics team, including:
- Review all client deliverables
- Support Analysts on client calls
- Hiring and oversee training for staff
- Manage team performance objectives
- Oversee all reviews and staff compensation recommendations for senior leadership
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Strong understanding of mortgage servicing rights, discounted cash flow modeling, and prepayment modeling experience
- Experience performing MSR valuations required
- Experience with discounted cash flow modeling required
- Experience with Valuation models and vendors such as Compass/MIAC/QRM is required
- Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities and overall financial aptitude
- Strong technical skills, including experience with third party valuation systems, workflow management systems, and data management and analytics
- Experience with statistical analysis and associated software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills required
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Finance, Business, or related field
- 7 - 10+ years of relevant work experience
- 3 - 5+ years of management experience required
- 5+ years of experience with data analysis and reporting
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and being available and responsive via email/phone/messaging.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- (If applicable to role) Travel to meet with clients or potential clients and/or to represent the company at conferences will be required on occasion or as needed.

Salary Range:
$85,000 - $125,000+
Salary is commensurate with applicable work experience and impact.
