Director of Finance
Our Client, a renowned academic medical center and integrated healthcare delivery system, is currently seeking to hire a Director of Finance. The Director of Finance will report to the VP of Finance and will align the organization’s finance policies to provide oversight of financial operations for the Department and support the ongoing integration of the department into a unified health system that utilizes best practices and scale efficiencies. The Director of Finance will be responsible for overall financial operations of the department including business services, accounting, operational and capital financial operations, month close, year-end close, financial reporting, and auditing functions. Responsibilities:
· Maintain financial close calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence for the following processes: financial work paper analysis, monthly, quarterly and annual drafts, reporting packages and finance committee reporting.
· Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to accelerate monthly close and reporting processes. Develop, implement and ensure effective and practical implementation of formal policies and procedures.
· Maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements and accounting policies. Provide US GAAP interpretation and prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner
· Strong experience with ledger analysis
· Provides finance leadership to department’s management team; helps implement short term and long term financial strategies and visions.
· Strong data management
· Performs monthly and quarterly variance analysis and forecasts to ensure financial obligations are met; provides explanations for material variances; escalates issues to unified administrator; partners with stakeholders to develop and execute a correction plan.
· Will lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive financial and operational reporting including, but not limited to performance summaries, revenue and expense forecasts, and P&L statements.
· Collaborates with Central Finance Office in month-end and year-end closing activities.
· Facilitates departmental cost savings by implementing and maintaining financial best practices.
· Will partner with A/P team, cost reporting, treasury and payroll to maximize efficiencies
Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
· Seven years’ work related experience required
· Knowledge of Infour system preferred

Salary: $225,000-$230,000. This salary range is not a guarantee. The actual salary will be based on qualifications, experience, and education and could fall outside of this range. Contact us for more information.
