At Rectangle Health, the UX Designer works closely with users, product managers, and engineers to understand and translate user needs, business requirements, and technical limitations into great products. Using the tools of the trade, the UX Designer conceives of and conducts user research, interviews, and surveys; translates findings into user flows and journey maps; and creates site maps, wireframes, and prototypes. The UX Designer, in collaboration with product management and engineering, designs the overall functionality of our products. The UX Designer is responsible for design choices that deliver excellent user experiences based on research, heuristics, usability standards, and user feedback. The UX Designer is responsible for assisting in growing the design system.

Primary job duties:
- Translate concepts into storyboards, mockups, prototypes, and designs that lead to intuitive and delightful user experiences.
- Expand the design system via the creation of design tokens in Figma.
- Facilitate the realization of the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and testing user experiences for digital products, both mobile, desktop and web applications.
- Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
- Take a user-centered design approach, rapidly test, and constantly iterate your designs.
- You will assist in creating and maintaining our design system standards, reference materials and style guide.
- CSS, HTML, REACT, and Bootstrap skills are a valued plus.
- Experience with the MUI Design System is a valued plus.
- Experience with SaaS products is a valued plus.
Minimum qualifications:
- 2- 5 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree.
- UX and/or interaction design experience working on complex digital solutions and applications.
- Expertise in Figma is a must.
- Experience with creating design tokens and creating design systems within Figma.
- Experience growing and maintaining design systems.
- Healthcare payments or revenue cycle management experience is a plus.
- Exposed to and understanding of native mobile and/or responsive web design.
- Prior work with agile product and engineering teams, focused on iterative collaboration in developing and implementing designs.
- Excellent phone manner, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated abilities in producing quick, low-fidelity sketches; synthesizing real user feedback into high-fidelity designs; creating click-through prototypes to test and validate working hypotheses with users; storytelling and presenting to users and team members.
