Typical Day in Role
" Excels in a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
" Partners with business units, operations, technology, risk management and other stakeholders to understand the business environment, evolving business priorities, and obtain key data and information.
" Maintains an ongoing business relationship with third party vendors.
" Assists in providing effective oversight and governance of our third-party relationships and all aspects of the vendor & service management lifecycle:
o Third party service due diligence & risk assessments
o Reviewing contracts/agreements.
o Ongoing performance monitoring.
o Incident and issues management, including reporting.
o Onboarding, off boarding and Contract Renewal support for third-party vendors.
" Lead various projects and other duties that may be assigned.
" Maintain a high level of awareness of related changes and developments in Third Party Risk through the review of publications, seminars, employee training, etc., and develop and enhance policies, procedures and internal controls.
" Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
" Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations.
Must Have Skills/Requirements:
" 2+ years' experience in Third Party Risk/ Vendor onboarding
" Recent experience working in a large financial institution
" Demonstrated intermediate Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
" Good verbal and written communication skills are required
Nice to have Skills:
" MS Access experience is an asset
Soft Skills:
" Very good project management skills
" High attention to detail
" Excellent interpersonal skills
Best vs Average: Third party risk and experience using third party risk tools (Coupa, etc) is a differentiator. The best fit would be a resource with a can-do attitude, who is a team player and has strong written and verbal communication.
Degrees or certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required
