The Onboarding Specialist will deliver a superior new hire experience by providing a high level of customer service while maintaining quality throughout the pre-employment onboarding process. The OS will serve as the single point of contact for the new hire throughout the onboarding process. The OS will ensure the completion and accuracy of all pre-employment processes and forms according to the policy and guidelines. The OS will interact with new hires, recruiters, local Human Resources and other areas as needed. The OS should be highly organized with an attention to detail as well as an excellent communicator.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a superior new hire experience by providing a high level of customer service
- Assist new hires to navigate through electronic onboarding process
- Ensure the completion and accuracy of all onboarding/new hire forms according to guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Submits background checks, communicate with background vendor regarding pending reports and makes inquiries regarding delays
- Communicates with new hire when necessary regarding background check
- Communicates with new hire regarding drug screen and ensures it has been completed in the timeframe indicated
- Schedules and updates Employee Health Service appointment for new employee physicals
- On-going communication to stakeholders regarding the new hires on-boarding progress
- Provides candidate with benefit enrollment information
- Provides notification once all new hire requirements have been satisfied
- Maintains accurate documentation in ATS
- Maintains strong understanding of and compliance with all employment regulations and policies
- Identifies potential on boarding issues or concerns, researches, provides clarification and proposes problem resolution
- Ensures all deadlines are met
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required or 5+ years related experience
- Previous experience in Human Resources related field; including onboarding, or recruitment preferred
- Previous experience in customer service preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare preferred
- Experience with applicant tracking systems
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a highly dynamic environment
- Strong written and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to juggle multiple assignments and excel in a highly visible, high-pressure environment
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality
