Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Treatment Coordinator to join our orthodontic practice. The Treatment Coordinator will play a crucial role in guiding patients through their orthodontic journey, from initial consultation to treatment plan coordination. This individual will serve as a liaison between patients, orthodontists, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless and positive experience for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and establish rapport with patients during their initial consultations, providing them with a warm and informative introduction to our practice.
- Communicate treatment options and expectations clearly to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Collaborate closely with orthodontists to develop personalized treatment plans, considering patients' goals, preferences, and clinical requirements.
- Present treatment plans to patients and their families, explaining costs, payment options, and insurance coverage.
- Assist patients in scheduling appointments, coordinating with clinical staff, and ensuring treatment plan timelines are met.
- Coordinate with the insurance team to verify insurance coverage, process claims, and provide accurate cost estimates to patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and financial information.
- Follow up with patients to ensure they are informed and comfortable with their treatment plans and progress.
- Address patient inquiries, concerns, and challenges throughout the treatment process, providing exceptional customer service and problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients and families in a compassionate and friendly manner. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex treatment information clearly.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using practice software and our other platforms.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, orthodontic procedures, and treatment planning concepts.
- Understanding of insurance processes and dental billing practices.
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
