Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Transportation Planner to be based in Austin or San Antonio, Texas .
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Supports transportation planning studies and reports for new and updated plans, programs, and regulations.
+ Reviews existing plans and assists with the development of transportation plans for addressing identified needs and in conformance with codes, plans, and regulations.
+ Prepares and presents detailed reports on transportation plans to government bodies.
+ Collects and analyzes a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics such as census information, land use, travel patterns, system performance, and transportation funding.
+ Coordinates community review of transportation plans and projects.
+ Provides information to the public regarding transportation concepts and alternatives.
+ Assists in resolving public and stakeholder issues.
+ Under direct supervision, conducts field evaluations and assessments.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning or Civil Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Knowledge in using GIS, VISSIM, MS Office, Adobe graphics suite, and Synchro.
+ Experience in analyzing a multitude of transportation data and socioeconomic data and developing reports and transportation concept plans at a local or regional scale.

+ Travel of 5% is required for this position.
+ This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Austin or San Antonio, Texas . The selected candidate must be available to work in Austin or San Antonio, Texas on a scheduled basis.
+ Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Texas locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $55,029.50-$75,665.57.
