Position Description
USA Fulger Transport Inc. is actively seeking to hire a new Logistics Planner to help manage and grow USA Fulger's Mexico Carrier Network. The ideal candidate would be an experienced transportation professional with proven success in carrier relations and logistics planning. This individual would be an independent self-starter who has the ability to broker loads out to third party carriers. This position can be filled on an Employee or Contractor basis. This is an in person position with the option of a Hybrid schedule.
In order to succeed in this role, the successful candidate will need:
- A deep understanding of the Logistics and Transportation Industry.
- Experience with Truck Carrier Sales in Mexico
- A strong mastery of the core transportation planning skills including geographical understanding, written & verbal communication, negotiation, persuasion, etc.
The main tasks associated with this position include:
- Manage, develop and maintain driver relationships by developing effective ways to maximize driver profit.
- Working in unison with the Operations Team to meet customers’ needs.
- Building and maintaining relationships, assessing client specific needs, promoting LSI services, and maintaining sales goals and objectives.
- Engage directly with carriers to ensure successful relationships that ensure synergetic value for both parties.
- Work closely with the Director of Carrier Relations & Brokerage.
- Update and maintain TMS Software.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure effective focus upon direct targets.
- Prepare customer quotations and presentations.
- Provide monthly reporting, projections and targets to Director of Brokerage & Carrier Relations.
- Develop proposals in accordance to drivers needs and expectations.
- Manage and evaluate optimum routes and route profitability.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
- The ability to continuously participate in the company's virtual workspace throughout the shift.
- This position requires on call and weekend availability.
Experience: This individual must have at least 2 years of logistics planning experience and at least 2 years experience within the Transportation Industry.
Education: Highschool diploma is required. A college degree within a business discipline or relevant field will be considered an asset.

This position can be filed on either a employee or 1099 basis depending upon the preferences of the successful candidate.
Compensation consists of both a base salary as well as a commission plan.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
