PURPOSE:
Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties and providing support to the Transportation Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Job Responsibilities
- Reviews and processes driver payroll and status changes.
- Monitors new and existing accounts in Roadnet, Peoplenet, and Cooltrax database.
- Reviews dashboard link, monitors drivers’ routes, and informs supervisor/manager and Customer Care of the need for possible route changes.
- Provides transportation assistance for all driver call-ins regarding route delivery issues and customer call backs.
- Receives driver receipts and accompanying paperwork, investigates and corrects discrepancies, processes invoices, and handles deposits of customer checks.
- Organizes driver paperwork to send to Claims and archives paperwork.
- Coordinates new drivers phone set up, corporate lodging cards, fuel cards, uniforms orders, etc.
- Processes all driver paperwork (manifests, DVIR’s, fuel receipts, hotel bills, COD checks, etc.).
- Contacts customers for reviews, late deliveries, etc.
- Performs other relevant job duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
- Warehouse/Operations/Transportation experience preferred but not required
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Understanding of Safety guidelines
- Strong knowledge of applicable computer system functions
- DOT compliance knowledge preferred
- Understands procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes
- Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication/decision-making skills
· Ability to interact with all departments and all levels of management·
Equipment knowledge is a plus
