Job description

IAT has an immediate opening for a P&C InsuranceTransformation Manager who will be involved in the end-to-end conceptualization, cost/benefit analysis, project approval process, risk identification & mitigation, initiation, planning, budgeting, scheduling, monitoring, controlling, communication, change management, process, and implementation of one or more strategic projects.
We have two openings -a contractor opportunity and a full-time W2 opportunity. These roles partner with multiple areas of the enterprise to provide overall direction, guidance, and oversight of the strategy, development, implementation, governance, and administration of strategic business processes and technology transformation-the ideal candidate with deep experience leading large, complex efforts. Significant P&C Insurance experience is required. Underwriting experience preferred.
This role works a hybrid schedule out of any IAT office -In the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely on Thursday and Friday. Occasional travel is required. Remote will be considered for candidates with the right combination of knowledge, skills, and experience.
Internally, we refer to this role as an Enterprise Project Manager
Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of project management, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing.
  • Works with the program manager to successfully initiate the project adhering to the established governance process.
  • Ensures the appropriate level of stakeholder involvement.
  • Provides day-to-day guidance to Transformation consultants on deliverables, and approach.
  • Creates change management and process approaches that are custom to the project.
  • Applies project and program management methodologies and best practices.
  • Develops and manages budgets, forecasts, and project resources.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:Must Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree and five or more years of transformation experience leading and managing projects or equivalent experience is required.
  • Equivalent experience is defined as nine or more years of experience leading and managing projects.
  • Significant P&C Insurance experience.
  • Experience training internal and external parties on process, product, and technology required.
  • Must be comfortable instructing in-person audiences of up to 25 people.
  • Must be comfortable instructing virtual audiences with 100+ external agents.
  • Proven experience in creating ad-hoc training based on specific needs.
  • Must be a self-starter who does not need day-to-day guidance but may seek guidance on complex issues.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work with ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to gain alignment with multiple roles (front line to C-suite) and departments within an organization (Product team, business, IT, operations, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.

Preferred:
  • 10+ years with P&C Insurance experience specific to underwriting.
  • Prosci Certification.
  • PMP preferred.
  • Six Sigma Lean Belt.
