Job Description

Following a hybrid schedule out of our global headquarters in Chicago (USA), the Service Delivery Manager (Content Lead) will be responsible for leading the EEP Portal content development for the Employee Experience Platform (HR Portal) which will provide employees around the world with useful content that will enhance the employee experience by making HR information accessible and easy to understand. They will be developing content for use by employees, managers, and global people that will be maintained on the HR Portal and Knowledge base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a thought leader for overall HR portal content strategy as part of global EEP design
  • Define governance process including managing content submissions and changes, including developing a queue for content received after the agreed to submission period(s) and establishing prioritization criteria
  • Operate as the lead for Portal Content submission with the 3rd party vendor, including understanding the vendors tools and processes
  • Lead creation of style guides or suggest changes to ensure content is consistent and clear, based on McDonald’s current practices
  • Curation/development of HR information, policies, and content for use by employees, managers, and global people
  • Work with global markets to define their content needs and localize where necessary
  • Optimize articles for SEO and accessibility
  • Ensure written content is engaging for other assets as applicable
  • Identify gaps in portal content and recommend new topics
  • Coordinate with all global content SMEs to ensure development of content in line with project timelines and design requirements
  • Edit content to ensure voice, grammar and style is on point
  • Create and schedule posts for multiple social media channels
  • Stay up to date on industry trends to support content development
  • Distill complex concepts and language into content that is easily understood
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging, branding and style
Qualifications
  • Proven experience developing content for internal and/or external HR knowledge databases or repositories on a global scale
  • Knowledge Management, Communications, and/or process improvement background focused on user experience and adoption
  • Broad HR functional knowledge with an understanding of employee and manager HR-related needs
  • Creating, editing, and maintaining documents used by employee for guidance (e.g., playbooks and wikis) for a variety of user types (e.g., crew, staff, executives)
  • Able to describe complicated processes and tasks succinctly
  • Experience with content management tool is a plus
