Responsibilities
Curriculum and Content Development
- Applies knowledge of adult learning principles to design, create, and facilitate training and staff development programs.
- Identifies required curriculum for program participants, assesses learning needs through data and real-life execution, and develops appropriate training solutions across a variety of subject areas including sales and marketing, clinical protocols, systems and processes, Miracle-Ear tools and protocols and more.
- Determines and utilizes the most effective training methods such as classroom, demonstrations, on-the-job training, eLearning modules, meetings, web tutorials, conferences, and workshops.
- Develops assessments to effectively evaluate the knowledge and comprehension of specific topics and trainings.
- Leverages Training and Development core platforms and content within the specific training products to drive consistency and sustainability.
- Consults and collaborates on new processes and tool to gain full understanding, knowledge and provide input to scale content to field.
- Manages concurrent training and documentation projects to successful completion.
- Coordinates the development of the Learning Management System (LMS) modules for key subject areas and explores options to expand usage of LMS and other e-learning tools to the organization.
Facilitation and Training
- Effectively teaches and facilitates highly technical concepts to adults with a broad array of backgrounds and experiences in small, medium and large group settings, both in person and virtually.
- Demonstrates leadership in classroom sessions with time management, addressing coaching challenges – behavioral, over-achievers, low performers so that all attendees benefit, progress and learn.
- Recognized not only as product and hearing solutions expert but also as an expert in general business support and skills.
- Support continuing educational training and requests in partnership with the CEU Coordinator, through individual or team developed training content and participate in scheduled off-site education and training programs in manner that is most cost-effective for the company.
- Supports internal and external team members with tools and skills needed to perform their roles.
Education and Experience:
- Current Hearing Instrument Specialist License and National Board Certification (NBC) or willing to obtain NBC certification within the 1st year of hire preferred - OR – Au.D. Audiologist Degree
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Maintain required state CEU accreditation for individual HIS License (required)
- 3+ years’ experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a sales or sales management role
- 3+ years developing training, teaching, facilitation, and coaching experience preferred
Required proficiency with tools:
- Demonstrated proficiency in creating educational and/or training material in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Articulate and other training/educational platforms.
- Demonstrated verbal and written presentation skills with a wide range of audiences, displaying comfort in training in person or through remote platforms that is both engaging and effective.
- Ability to learn new products, generating documentation and training employees
- Plan, prioritize and identify needs for new projects, initiative, and change, including preparation and communication tools
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt easily to the changing needs of both the department and the business.
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time depending on training content and designated needs of the organization.
