Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to oversee the external tolling network, build relationships within the network, drive process and cost optimization efforts and act as the main interface with all BASF functions involved in the tolling process. Overall, this position ensures the quality of all Cellasto products, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational excellence. In this role, you will ensure the reliability of the tolling function including: accuracy of inspection decisions, assembled components per drawing, packaging compliance to requirements, throughput, inventory reporting and KPI development and tracking.
You will play an active role in new Toll Manufacturer (Toller) start-up process, part approval and daily verification of Toller work, data and results. Taking on a consultative approach, you will be able to allocate new and existing products between Tollers based on short and long-term quality, capacity, and capability. You will ensure the provision of relevant information, materials, standards, etc. to external Tollers. You will also drive process optimization and use innovative technologies to develop Toller capabilities, improve productivity and quality.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

As a Toll Manufacturing & Quality Engineer you create chemistry by...

• Working cross-functionally to implement corrective and preventative measures to correct deficiencies
• Analyzing toll manufacturer performance and developing improvement plans for identified problem areas to drive down nonconformance rates
• Ensuring the implementation of robust processess as well as implementing a KPI system
• Leading change and demonstrating customer focus by achieving continuous improvement
• Ensuring our Tollers are compliant with our safety requirements.

Your formula for success...

• Having a strong educational background in Engineering or relevant education and professional background in quality assurance or quality systems, preferably within an automotive
• Possesing knowledge of Quality Management System standards such as ISO9001/IATF16949 to direct the activities of the Tollers ensuring they follow our standard procedures
• Having interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams to create an inclusive environment by valuing people above all else
• Knowledge of Cellasto standards and specifications is preferred as it will be an asset in educating operators to ensure first time quality
• Advanced MS Office skills and preferably SAP experience to create pivot tables and PowerPoint presentations for internal and external customers
