Production Assistant - Woodshop

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Production Assistant manages the flow of information, work, and materials for the Woodshop Department according to a production schedule. He/She will keep track of materials and supplies, as well as production problems in manufacturing. They will also keep track of outgoing and incoming shipments while maintaining an organized work environment and stockroom.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist in creating delivery reports for Upholstery and Woodshop, purchasing requisitions.
• Prepare office paperwork to accompany finished product to stockroom, including product labels
• Count and sort finished product
• Organize finished products onto pallets & shrink wrap
• Assist in turning in finished product to stockroom
• Posting materials
• Physically move products to different warehouses as necessary
• Act as an office runner delivering paperwork and supplies in between departments
• Ensure the department has the proper materials on hand for production
• Communicate and coordinate with the photo department in order to have new product photographed
• Fulfill other administrative or office duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Assembly, packaging, scanning, and forklift experience a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Computer proficiency
• Microsoft D365 (heavy focus on Word and Excel)
• Candidates are expected to learn all responsibilities in an adequate time frame
• Must be able to work well with others and have excellent communication skills (email etiquette and phone)
• Ability to handle a physical workload
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Eager to take on responsibility with a personal sense of accountability
• Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws or regulations.
