1 Year position
The specialist, Part D Member Communications supports the pharmacy department in executing pharmacy member communications for all CCA plans.
This role involves creating and editing materials such as member letters, blog posts, newsletters, and highly regulated materials like health plan member handbooks, summaries of benefits, and annual notices of change. The role is also responsible for document management, tracking the status of each pharmacy member material, performing quality assurance against document standards, and ensuring timely completion of each material.
Required:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Preferred:Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, English, public relations, public health, or journalism, or a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a health plan marketing or communications position. Required:
- 2 years' experience in health plan communications.
Preferred:
- 3+ years' experience in a Medicare/Medicaid health plan communications setting.

- Write a variety of different content to support communications and marketing efforts related to CCA operational and strategic priorities, including member notices, direct mail pieces, newsletter content, blog posts, and regulatory materials, such as member handbooks and model member materials issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
- Manage project plans, document databases, and reporting of all communications being delivered to CCA members.
- Maintain inventory of all member communication templates.
- Track the status/stage of member materials throughout their lifecycle, from development, approvals, dissemination, and archival.
- Maintain document management best practices and electronic filing structure.
- Keep all members of the team up to date with relevant project information and schedule.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and standards related to healthcare consumer engagement, plain language standards, healthcare literacy, and Medicare communications and marketing guidelines.
- Make recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies and practices.
- Collaborate with CCA marketing team to keep CCA member style guide current and reflective of best practices.
- Utilize established workflows and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as needed to develop, gain approval, and disseminate communications.
- Act as a liaison with fulfillment vendors and business leaders across the organization when needed.
- Submit new and updated templates to the applicable state and CMS for review and approval through Health Plan Management System (HPMS).
- Manage the workflow for translations.
- Make sure that all member communication materials align to CCA brand identity standards and CCA style guide and are written in plain language appropriate for the consumer-based audience.
- Format communications to align to templates and brand standards.
- Collaborate with the marketing team and graphic design resources.
- Provide proofreading support in accordance with CCA style guide and CMS and state guidelines.
- Support the development of new templates and documentation of new processes, guidelines, and requirements for best-in-class member communications across new channels and tools.
- Assist with content development for a variety of platforms including direct mail, social media, email, and text messaging channels.
- Additional responsibilities as needed to support the optimal functioning of the Department and to Support CCA's strategic and operational goals.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
