Your days will be varied as you prioritize your work to ensure deadlines are met. You will help set experience through clear and direct communications with clients. You will act as part of a larger team, who also support faculty, postdocs, research fellows, and affiliates. You'll answer technical and administrative questions as you work to resolve requests and answer questions. You'll become familiar with the University IT as you work with them to order and have installed new servers, with the Finance Department at the GSB and at the University level as you place orders, with the University Software Office as you procure software, and with the Property Office and the Surplus Office as you purchase and excess equipment. Each day is different and will bring with it its own challenges and opportunities.
Please note that this position is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week.
Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose and resolve end-user problems; respond to escalated issues from clients and other support teams; perform triage, provide remote problem resolution, when possible, refer problems to associated groups.

    • Primary liaison with internal and external vendors, responsible for obtaining quotes, purchasing, licensing, returns, and billing issues.
    • Work with University offices to order, change, and manage repair of mobile, physical, and softphones.
    • Work closely with end-users and the University property management office to assist with capital or special equipment requests and vendor selection.
  • Research, recommend and implement approved standards used throughout the unit and contribute to the development of the client support strategy.
