Overview:
Raye IT Consulting is looking for a dynamic Technical Writer to join our team. You will provide communications support to a government client within the Washington, D.C. area. Candidate will have demonstrated expertise in content creation. Content may need to be in the format of documents, graphics, presentations, spreadsheets, or recorded videos.
Responsibilities:

• Create and update documents using PowerPoint, Word and Excel for Senior Executive review.
• IT Security policies and processes technical writing
• Ability to maintain data records file repositories, audit trail, and version control via SharePoint
• Ability to create and review technical documentation 
• Ability to make documentation 508-compliant
• Develop and maintain project-level communications processes, tools, and resources, leveraging best practices for communications across the portfolio
• Assist in the enhancement of current communications strategies
• Ensure all communications are in support of portfolio and project objectives and are consistent across delivery channels and stakeholders
• Work in partnership with other OCIO divisions to ensure branding and style guidelines are maintained
• Leverage communications methods to identify trends throughout the communications lifecycle
• Possess strong analytical skills required to proactively research information and begin compiling initial responses to ad-hoc data calls

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject (English, communications, technical editing, writing, or similar degree preferred).
• Must be an excellent writer with the ability to craft clear and compelling content.
• Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Google Suite 
• Previous experience in Information Technology to understand the role of different types of technology involved in change management.
• Technical writing/editing skills.
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills to meet hard deadlines under pressure.
