Job Description
SUMMARY
The Technical Support role will develop in to a Manager position, and this person should possess a unique blend of technical and business savvy. They must enjoy helping customers (internal and external) and managing product information. The position requires communication with all areas of the company operations, lab testing, product development and product troubleshooting. This person will deal with vendors and customers. The Technical Support Manager is responsible for answering all inquiries regarding quality issues; perform product development and evaluations, and complete HSE functions.
Reports to the Vice President of Operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Answer customer questions.
- Provide technical expertise on Sherwin products.
- Provide technical support to plant.
- Able to perform quality control testing on raw materials, finished products and panels.
- Perform product evaluations.
- Conduct product development.
- Write and review technical data sheets.
- Write SDS’s.
- Conduct HSE programs.
- Ensure clean and safe work areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- BS in chemistry minimally required
- Five plus years of chemical or technical work experience,
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience in technical service
- Laboratory experience
