The Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible to ensure the accurate and timely revenue recognition and accurate and timely processing of payments received. The position is responsible for AR subledger reconciliation to the general ledger. He/she is responsible for managing the collection activities of aged receivables. He/she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Revenue Accounting, including journal entries, compliance with Accounting Standard 604 (ASC 604), and managing revenue recognition policies and procedures. The position is also responsible for excel based analysis of payer 835 files.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end Revenue Accounting process, including the preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements related to revenue.
- Monthly reconciliation of AR subledgers to general ledger.
- Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Provide guidance and support to the finance team on revenue-related matters.
- Utilize accounting software systems such as Sage and NetSuite to streamline Revenue Accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
- Oversee cash posting activities and possess a strong understanding of reading and interpreting 835 remittance advice files.
- Responsible for third party cash reconciliations using software like NETRX or ScriptMax to manage the process.
- ·Process electronic 835 files for accurate payment and denial posting management.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience
- Accounting Degree required
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in Healthcare Accounting.
- Familiarity with 835 payer payment details
- Above average Excel experience
