Job Title: Technical Project Manager (PM)
Location: National Capital Region (NCR), Primarily Telework with occasional on-site (as needed)
Clearance: NOAA Public Trust Clearance.
- Active Public Trust Clearance, or ability to gain a Public Trust Clearance, and US Citizenship
Inalab Consulting has an opening for a Technical Project Manager to manage Inalab’s Broadcast and Network Engineering Design and Development and Technical Support Services team that supports the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) customer.
Responsibilities:
The Project Manager (PM) will serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for the Government customer, and will be responsible for the overall management, performance and guidance of all Inalab contractor personnel assigned to the contract. Core responsibilities and duties will be:
- Provide technical and management direction and oversight to a multi-disciplined, technical, network engineering-oriented team.
- Ensure the team is tasked with appropriate work levels, adjust workloads based on priorities, complete employee timecards, and conduct annual employee performance reviews.
- Regularly coordinate and meet with the Government Branch Lead, Technical Leads, and Contracting Officer Representative, to ensure the team is completing regular tasks/projects and quickly responding to priority items.
- Coordinate with National Weather Radio Upgrade Project (NWRUP) Management, regional representatives, contractors, users concerning deployment plans, security requirements, communication device configurations, and any issues with NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) sites.
- Participate in regular Government status meetings, technical interchange meetings, and conduct internal team meetings as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure delivery of all services are completed on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
- Track and report on schedules, changes to schedules, and contingency plans.
- Track and report on all contractor labor hours monthly required for performance of services on the contract.
- Prepare and submit Weekly Status Reports to the Government with the required status information requested.
- Formulate ideas and assist in the design, development, documentation of network deployment status, diagnostic and monitoring tools requirements.
Required Skills and Capabilities:
- Strong project management and supervisory skills including scheduling oversight, managing costs, prioritizing project activities, customer and employee communication, and managing personnel.
- Possess broad networking and wireless technology knowledge,
Educational and / or Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related IT field, or additional experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience with demonstrated knowledge in Network Engineering, Network Design, Telecommunications/Wireless Networks, IP Address Management and subnetting
- IP Radio, RF and Satellite experience a plus
- Experience in doing technical documentation in Word, Excel and Visio.
- Must have a team player attitude and be able to facilitate cross-functional team collaboration.
- Prior experience with NOAA or NWS a plus
