Description
SFI is seeking a Technical Project Manager/Sr. Solution Architect to join our team supporting a Federal Agency in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. As a key member of our team, the Technical Lead / Project Manager will interface with the customers and lead/manage a range of activities including requirements collection and analysis, technical architecture design, software design, implementation, debugging, as well as enhancing existing systems. Prior experience leading large, enterprise-level software development efforts is a critical requisite for this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interface directly with customer and act as a solution provider for a variety of business problems.
- Lead a scrum team of 5-10 to architect and design software applications utilizing best technology practices to design and implement a scalable, secure, end-to-end software product.
- Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
- Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
- Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
- Experience programming with serverless compute technologies and AWS cloud computing, e.g., AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, Cloud Formation, S3, SNS, SQS.
- Must be proficient in coding languages and technologies, e.g., NodeJS, TypeScript and Angular.
- Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Effective verbal and written communication with senior-level management and leadership on the customer side.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 8 years' experience in a similar role or functions including software development on complex applications to large scale production environments.
- 8+ years hands-on (recent) coding experience in: cloud native AWS development, Node.js development, and Microservices development
- Extensive experience in cloud environments including AWS tools, applications development, and migration.
- Must have recent experience using Elastic Search or Open Search
- 8+ years experience with Agile/SAFe, DevOps
- 5+ years providing mentorship and can coach junior to mid level developers
- Previous federal government project experiences a huge plus.
- Strong technical leadership and software project management experience.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent software development projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to maintain an effective working relationship with development teams and customers.

- The salary for this position is $80,000 - $160,000 annually

Salary Description
$80,000 - $160,000
