Comcast's Technology, Product & Experience (TPX) organization works at the intersection of media and technology. Our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products that transform the customer experience. The team also develops and supports our evolving network architecture, including next-generation consumer systems and technologies, infrastructure and engineering, network integration and management tools, and technical standards.
Intern Job Description
Are you inspired/motivated with working with technology but do not have the desire to be in a lab environment? Are you passionate about working with world leading teams on transformational products spanning the connectivity, entertainment and protection spaces? If so this is an opportunity to intern with the Global Devices Organization. You will have the opportunity to work with industry leading product professionals and learn about the intricacies of Product Management.
In this role you will get the opportunity to collaborate with members of the team spanning different disciplines including hardware and software engineering, User eXperience, logistics management, program management, and app development. Our global team hold patents in multiple disciplines and continue to lead and drive innovation within our industry.
In your role, you will have the opportunity to help shape the product direction within our current portfolio verticals (Connectivity, Entertainment, Protection). You will also be charged with helping to craft some of the necessary analysis to support the product business cases and evaluating ongoing processes for opportunities to improve the business. You will have the opportunity to learn about software Product Management including but not limited to the QA and Release Management (RM) processes.
You'll be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast while we roll out global device solutions. Success in this role will be characterized by growth and understanding of the Product Management function for the selected individual level but contributing to the rollout/launch of the devices/features on the Global Devices Organization (GDO) roadmap.
Job Responsibilities
Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with Product Managers to drive and ensure alignment with all product stakeholders regarding product specifications and objectives.
  • Stay current on the technology and market trends; forecast opportunities and threats to our businesses.
  • Perform competitive research and analyses and keep the rest of the team abreast through industry/competitive/technology briefs.
  • Contribute to the product vision across the team and the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define and lead product roadmaps and deliver on them.
  • Define requirements for new products, features, and use cases; define acceptance criteria for each.
  • Assist with the development of business cases for new features.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering and program leads to ensure alignment between technical, business, and field teams on product features and releases.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure a go-to-market strategy is defined and in place before a new device launch.
  • Keep track of product performance through data collection and analysis
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills
  • Preferred Majors: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related Technical Field

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university
  • Rising Junior with an anticipated graduation date of, Spring 2025, December 2026 or Spring 2026.
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting. Internship roles will be office-based with no virtual offerings.
  • Recommended GPA: 3.0 (candidates will be evaluated on overall skills, education, and experience)

Compensation
Base Pay: $32.00
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
