Comcast's Technology, Product & Experience (TPX) organization works at the intersection of media and technology. Intern Job Description
We are currently searching for a Cloud Engineering Intern to join our Customer Reliability Engineering team. As an Engineer on the CRE team you will work to plan, build and test software products that ensure the secure, cost-effective and elastic adoption and usage of AWS, Azure, CCP, and GCP.
You will be joining a small and fast-moving group of world-class experts who are innovating in delivering cloud solutions to product teams at Comcast. We are a team that thrives on big challenges, results, quality and agility. The team's engineers work closely with cloud, security and network architects to ensure our products and services consistently meet customer demands.
We are looking for students who have a deep interest in Cloud computing, with an educational focus in infrastructure or software engineering or a combination of both. Seeking recent graduates who are looking for a junior opportunity to grow with an organization focused on all things Cloud. Also considering students who may be in their last year of school and are interested in a customer support or cloud engineering internship role.
Job Responsibilities
This will be a hands-on learning position.

  • Shadowing a Sr. Engineer and then participating in hands on work for the project as knowledge base is built (i.e. writing code/deploying infrastructure)
  • Online Training provided (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills
  • Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Computing, Information Systems
  • First rate customer service skills and abler to integrate into and contribute to a high performing team
  • Ideally possesses Cloud experience OR working towards/be willing to work towards one of the Cloud Certification Exams
  • Scripting Experience
  • Python Experience
  • Demonstrable Technical problem-solving skills

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university
  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior with an anticipated graduation date of December 2024, Spring 2025, December 2025 or Spring 2026.
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting. Internship roles will be office-based with no virtual offerings.
  • Recommended GPA: 3.0 (candidates will be evaluated on overall skills, education, and experience)

Compensation
Base Pay: $32.00
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
