Job Description
We are looking for a dependable, positive, and motivated individual to provide support to our professional tax firm. We are seeking an individual experienced in working in a friendly environment with a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks. The candidate must be resourceful and have the ability to learn quickly, problem solve as issues arise. Candidate must have excellent organizational skills and must have the ability to address changing client and office needs. Must maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
• Providing general administrative and clerical support with client communication,
correspondence, and the maintenance of files and documents
• Answering telephone and email inquiries
• Assembling, scanning, and archiving income tax returns and other client documents
• Preparing client files, tax organizers, and other mailings before tax season
• Perform data entry and scan documents for archives or client files
• Assist in resolving any administrative problems
• Maintain office supplies and coordinate with vendors and other service providers
• Maintain incoming and outgoing correspondence including certified-mail and priority or
express mail
• Perform some of the foregoing tasks using MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and
QuickBooks (open to training the right candidate)
• Maintain an organized and efficient office environment for staff and clients
Qualifications and Skills
• 2+ years of extensive administrative support experience, preferably in a tax accounting
environment.
• High School Diploma/ GED required
• Proficiency in MS office and a working knowledge of QuickBooks
• Ability to operating standard office equipment
• Excellent communication skills -- written and verbal
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and strong problem-solving skills
• ProSystem FX Tax Software familiarity is desired, but not required
