Talent Acquisition Specialist

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist with full-cycle recruiting experience, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees. A successful candidate will collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs. You should also be able to attract candidates using various sources, like social media networks and employee referrals. Ultimately, the responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Specialist are to ensure our company attracts, hires and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.
Essential Duties:
- Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning.
- Design and implement overall recruiting strategy.
- Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
- Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate internet job boards/newspapers/colleges.
- Source and recruit candidates by using databases and social media.
- Screen candidates resumes and job applications.
- Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule.
- Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes.
- Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated.
- Attend career fairs as needed.
- Build a college campus recruitment strategy with aviation specialty schools.
- Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.
- Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports as needed.
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
- Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”
Education/Experience/Skills:
- BS degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 3+ years of proven work experience in Talent Acquisition.
- Previous HR Generalist experience preferred.
- Previous airline operations experience is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter).
- Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference checks).
- Hands-on experience with recruiting software; ideally Paycor Recruiting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices.
- Strong decision-making skills.
