Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for clients centered in the following technologies:
- Server-based systems
- Hypervisor
- Network based storage systems
- Network switches and routers
- Network firewalls
- Backup Systems
- Primary point of contact for ticket escalation from the Help desk
- Troubleshooting of advanced ticket issues
- Participate in on-call rotation with other engineers
- Participate in monthly maintenance on a rotating basis
Technical Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of:
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches
- Cisco ASA & FortiGate Firewalls
- Microsoft Office 365 Products
- Microsoft Azure
- VMware vSphere & VMware VCenter Server
- Veeam Backup and Replication
- Analytical and logical approach to problem solving
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and supervisors
- Ability to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot technical issues escalated from the Help Desk
- Detailed time tracking
Education & Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience supporting relevant IT environments and proven track record of successfully completing IT project implementations
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant certifications desired but not required:
- VMCE
- VCP
- CCNA
- MCSA
- Network+
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
